A few pictures of people just being themselves.

In many styles of yoga, students impose the pose upon their body rather than allowing it to unfold from within. Just as in life off the mat, no one wants something imposed upon them. Infinite Light Yoga believes that every body is unique, and as we explore that uniqueness we are practicing yoga. The photos below show our students exploring that uniqueness.

Yoga is a beautiful form of expression that we explore by turning our attention inward to find the everlasting Self.

Notice that these students are each in their own expression of tiptoe pose.

Our teaching philosophy is that everyone can safely explore the edges of yoga postures with the right teacher.  We teach the importance of not forcing or pushing someone to do something that they aren't ready for or that their body is unable to do.

As shown in this picture, there are ways to explore the traditional poses at your current level of flexibility.

In our classes, you are encouraged to stay comfortable wherever you are in your body.

Infinite Light Yoga doesn't believe that it is important to reach the floor in the triangle pose (trikonasana). But we do feel that it is important to reach your potential.

Probably the best part of our classes is the length of time we devote to stillness (meditation and relaxation). Consciously or unconsciously, we are all seeking to be more comfortable with our Self, and in the ultimate sense, find the peace within.

Infinite Light Yoga is appropriate for every person with any level of flexibility, body type and almost any health condition. We invite you to come explore just how wonderful being in your body feels in one of our classes.

We also have a lot of experience integrating prenatal modifications into our regular classes. For asanas for pregnancy go to our article page, see section on Women and Yoga, Prenatal Yoga (with pictures) and for pictures of our mothers with their babies see ILY Mommies and Babies.

Om Shanti,
The Infinite Light Yoga Team
